the Staff
Sharon Barrett-Mitchell
Sharon Barrett-Mitchell, Executive Director of the Dakota
Center, Inc. She is responsible for the administration and operation
of the non-profit community center. Located within the MacFarlane Neighborhood.
The center has been in operation for 37 year serving residents in the
innerwest Dayton community. The center has also received funds from
Reynolds & Reynolds assoc. Foundation, Kettering Foundation, Kramer
Foundation and the Marianists Society of Mary. Ms. Mitchell is a retiree
of the City of Dayton with 25 years of service. Ms. Mitchell is a 1994
graduate of the Dayton Neighborhood Leadership Institute and a 1996
graduate of the Community Reinvestment Institute.

Patti
Johnson
Patti Johnson is a native of Dayton Ohio, born December 15, 1958 to
the parents of Mr. & Mrs. Albert & Patricia Johnson of Dayton
Ohio. Administrative Assistant recently joined the staff under the Director,
Mrs. Sharon Mitchell at Dakota Center. Patti received her studies from
Sinclair Community College in Office Information Systems. Patti also
teaches and Manages Computer Clubhouse for Wright Computer Connection.
In her spare time she volunteers for Tabernacle Baptist Church; where
she teachers Computer Class , President of Website Committee and President
of Computer Library Books. Patti enjoys working with children because
she feels believes "Children our future" Lets educate them
now!

Betty
Bolton
Betty Bolton, born in Richmond Kentucky.
Currently employed by Dakota center as the Arts and Crafts Instructor,
and assisting with the Seniors Program. She is also a reserve teacher
for the Dakota Board of Education. She received her B. A. Degree of
Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

Melissa
L. Keeton
Melissa L. Keeton a native of Dayton, graduated from the Ohio State
University. She holds a B.S. in Business administration with a minor
in Computer Information and Science. Miss Keeton has been an employee
of the Dakota Center for 4 1/2 years. Miss Keeton started with Dakota
Center as a Computer teacher. Currently Miss Keeton is the Supervisor
of the Homework Club. The Homework Club is a new program at Dakota Center
that started in September 2001.

Ronald
C. Foster
Ronald C. Foster, Native of Dayton, Ohio born October 30, 1947 to the
parents of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Foster. Mr. Foster attended Garfield Elementary
and was a Graduate of Roosevelt High School , 1965. Also a graduate
of Central State University 1973. BA Science (Education) Mr. Foster
served in the Military Mr. Foster participates in many volunteer opportunities.Mr
Foster is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Dayton Ohio Mr. Foster
participates in many volunteer opportunities. Some of these opportunities
include: serving as a volunteer speaker at MacFarlane Middle School
for their "Motivational Speaker Series", a volunteer for the
Senior Resource Connection Nutrition Program, a volunteer for the Dayton
Public Schools Math Olympics, and a member of the West Dayton Youth
Serving Agency Coalition (WDYSAC). Mr. Foster has been employed at the
Dakota Center for 29 years. He is presently the Program Director. In
his capacity he works both with youth and adults.

Lois
Marie Crutcher Lewis Hugee
Lois Marie Crutcher Lewis Hugee, native of Huntsville, Alabama to David
L. Crutcher Sr. and Hannah B. (Crutcher) Haliburton. Her family came
to Dayton in 1950 where she was educated at Edison and Roosevelt High
School.Colleges noted Alabama University, Wright State, University of
Ill.and Sinclair Community College. Mother of two children and four
grandchildren, all product and participants of Dakota Center. Her work
experience includes Montgomey Cnty Edu Services, Model Cities, Montg.
Cnty Action agency. She is presently employed at Dakota Center as Drill
Team program Instructor for 33 years, and works as a SED Classroom Educational
Assistant for Montgomery Educational Services for 22 years.
