Summer Camp!

The goal of the Dakota Center Summer Day Camp is to "Develop Healthy Children" through:

Health Education: Nutrition
  • Arts & Crafts, Computer Training, Reading/Math Tutoring, Cultural Activities, Field trips

Creative Learning:

Recreation:

Swimming, Exercise, Games, Movies, Program & Activities and a Family Picnic

Every child is divided into 1 of 4 groups by age. The day is divided into four periods consisting of:
  • Computers
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Reading/Math Tutoring
  • Games/Movies
Each period last approximately 45 minutes.

Monday - Wednesday
8-10 a.m. = Extended Day
10:10 - 10:30 a.m. = Breakfast
10:30 - 11:15 a.m. = 1st Period
11:15 - 12:00p.m. = 2nd period
12:00 - 12:45 p.m. = 3rd Period
12:45 - 1:25 p.m. = Outside Activities → (Wednesdays: Swimming)
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. = Lunch
2:00 - 2:15 p.m. = Group Discussion
2:15 - 3:00 p.m. = 4th Period
3:00 - 6:00 p.m. = Open Recreation for
Extended Day

Thursday        Scheduled Field Trip Day

Friday              Open Games and Movie Day

Every Wednesday, a representative from The Combined Health District speaks on health-related issues.
